Rules & Regulations
As defined by the laws of the Municipality, Province and Government of Canada.
- 1. Must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a ticket.
- 2. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded.
- 3. Members of the Board of Directors and paid staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, Children's Cottage Society of Calgary and Kids Kottage Foundation of Edmonton, the Auditor of the tickets and staff of Stride Management Corp. are not permitted to purchase Provincial Lottery 4 Kids #15 Lottery tickets. Their spouses and any other family members that reside in their home are also excluded from purchasing tickets.
- 4. If the winner has not been located within 365 days of the draw, after publicly advertising this fact, the lottery partners will write to the AGLC requesting permission to allocate said prizes for use by Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, Children's Cottage Society of Calgary and Kids Kottage Foundation of Edmonton.
- 5. Credit card vouchers made payable to the Lottery Partner organizations are acceptable. Non-certified cheques will be accepted. Ticket stub(s) will not be included in any draw until the funds are in the Lottery Bank Account.
- 6. The minimum number of tickets that must be sold before an extension is requested is $1,746,156.25 total revenue.
- 7. Each ticket is eligible for all prizes except where they may be late for the Early Bird or Loyalty Draws.
- 8. The draw will be conducted in the following manner: Draw will be open to the public, and two members of the executive of Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, Children's Cottage Society of Calgary or Kids Kottage Foundation of Edmonton will be present to witness. The draw will be taped, and tickets drawn from a transparent draw barrel. Tickets will be drawn manually by an individual who does not have a ticket in the draw, in a random manner. Only the person making the draw will put their arm into the draw barrel, and will have no clothing on their arm, below their elbow. The winning ticket(s) will be displayed to the witnesses for inspection immediately after they are drawn from the barrel.
- 9. The Loyalty Draw (1X $50,000) will be held on Friday September 11, 2009 at the office of Stride Management Corp., 3950 12th Street NE, Calgary at 2:00 P.M. Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm on Thursday, August 27, 2009 will be eligible for this draw.
- 10. The First Early Bird Draw (1 X $ 25,000) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday October 9, 2009 on site at the office of Stride Management Corp., 3950 12th Street NE, Calgary at 11:00 A.M. Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm on Friday September 25, 2009 will be eligible for this draw.
- 11. The Second Early Bird Draw (1 X $ 25,000) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday November 6, 2009 on site at the office of Stride Management Corp., 3950 12th Street NE, Calgary at 11:00 A.M. Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm on Friday October 23, 2009 will be eligible for this draw.
- 12. The Final Grand Prize Draw ($700,000) will be held at 2:00pm on Friday November 20, 2009 at Big Brothers Big Sisters Calgary, 5960 Centre Street SE, Calgary. Only tickets purchased prior to 11pm Monday November 9, 2009 will be eligible for this draw. If all tickets are sold prior to Friday, October16, 2009, the draw will be held October 30, 2009, with the approval of Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.
- 13. All of the above mentioned draws are open to any member of the general public. Order of the draws will be as follows; the first draw will be for the Loyalty prize (one draw of $50,000 cash), next will be the first Early Bird prize (one draw of $25,000 cash), next will be the second Early Bird prize (one draw of $25,000 cash) and the final draws will be drawn in order of the least retail value, beginning with the 125 x $100, then the 25 x $500, then the 10 x $5,000, then the 5 x $10,000 up to the Grand Prize $700,000.
- 14. All winners will be notified in writing detailing what they have won and how they can claim their prize(s). Also, all names, cities and ticket numbers of winners will be posted on the web site www.4kidslottery.ca.
- 15. Refunds will be available to ticket purchasers, however if any purchased ticket has been entered for any draw, no refund will be issued.
- 16. Allow 3-4 weeks for arrival of official ticket(s).
- 17. Tickets for the Lottery will be sold in Alberta only.
- 18. Total tickets available are 12,500 tickets @ $25; 12,500 sets @ 4 for $60 and 17,000 sets @ 10 for $100 for a total of 232,500 tickets.
- 19. Tickets may be purchased by cheque, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit and cash. The Lottery Committee's liability is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
- 20. Only upon demonstrating extraordinary circumstances to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will the Licensee make a request for draw extension.
- 21. In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the licensed charities shall award the prize to the first name of all individuals identified on the ticket. Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, Children's Cottage Society of Calgary and Kids Kottage Foundation of Edmonton and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub. We will not add the name of a person under 18 years of age on a ticket.
- 22. All tickets will be controlled by the licensee and are only available by mail, fax, phone, internet and in person at Big Brothers Big Sisters Society of Edmonton & Area, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary and Area, Children's Cottage Society of Calgary and Kids Kottage Foundation of Edmonton. Ticket request forms will be collected weekly, with tickets processed and mailed by the Lottery Tickets Sales Centre at Stride Management Corp. Ticket request forms must be received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre to be valid.
- 23. Privacy: Provincial Lottery 4 Kids #15 Partners' and Stride Management Corp. respect your privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. The personal information collected will be used to process ticket orders and to contact you for future lotteries, programs, events and other fund raising activities. If you do not want to receive such information, simply check off the box on the order form. The names, cities and ticket numbers of winners will be published on the 15th Annual Provincial Lottery 4 Kids website at www.4kidslottery.ca.
